Privacy policy

What we collect

• What you give us in questionnaires: your answers to the consultation and assessment forms (on Tally), including name, grade, school, UTR, contact details, and how you describe your situation and goals.
• What Google gives us when you sign in: the email address and display name of your Google account. That is all. We never touch your Gmail, contacts or Drive.
• What Paul enters after you sign: name, code, sex, grade, expected graduation year, UTR, contract date, plan, and payment records. Payment is by bank transfer, so we never hold a card number.
• What you do on the platform: tasks you hand in, questionnaire answers, files you upload (transcripts, video links, documents), what you have viewed, and when you signed in.
• School and coach correspondence: the school list Paul puts in, emails from coaches, and reply drafts prepared for you.
• LINE: if a parent or player sends the binding code in LINE to receive notifications, we store that LINE account identifier to push reminders. If you never bind, we hold nothing.

What we use it for

• Deciding whether this is a fit and which path to take (consultation and assessment).
• Scheduling every item, reminding you of deadlines, and tracking progress (the platform).
• Preparing your application documents and handling correspondence with schools and coaches.
• Bookkeeping, invoicing and refunds.
• Follow-up and feedback after the service ends, so the next cohort gets a better service.

What we will not do with your data: sell it, rent it, or hand it to advertisers. We never pass your data to any school or coach without asking you first. Emails to coaches go out from your own account, not from ours.

AI tools

Paul uses an AI tool (Anthropic's Claude) to help organise your data and draft school lists and replies. Nothing reaches you until Paul has read and approved it. Data sent to the AI tool is handled under Anthropic's terms of service.

Where the data lives and who processes it

We do not run our own servers. Your data sits with the services below. Each processes data only as far as needed to provide its service and has its own privacy policy. We will update this page when we add one.

• Google: sign-in, plus our own email and documents.
• Supabase: the platform database and file storage, hosted in Tokyo.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Tally and Google Sheets: questionnaire answers.
• LINE: notifications.
• Anthropic Claude: the AI tool described above.

How we protect it

• Sign-in is Google only. We store no passwords.
• You, your linked parents and Paul can see your data; other players and parents cannot. Every database table has access rules: a player can read only their own records, and a parent only their own child's.
• Uploaded files sit in private storage. Links to open them expire after one hour.
• Every change on the platform is logged: who made it and when.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No ad tracking, no third-party analytics. Clearing cookies signs you out.

How long we keep it

• If you do not continue after the consultation or assessment: your answers are used only to answer your questions and for anonymous statistics. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
• If you sign with us: after the service ends we keep records under your code, with your name removed, to follow how you are doing and to improve the service. At the end we ask you and your parents to sign a consent form choosing anonymous statistics only, school named but not you, or full name. If nothing is signed, it is anonymous statistics only.
• Accounting records are kept for the period required by Taiwan's Business Entity Accounting Act and tax law.

Your rights

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act you can ask to see your data, get a copy, correct it, have us stop using it, or have it deleted. Write to support@pinchengcaptain.com and we will act within 15 days. A parent or guardian may ask on behalf of a minor. After deletion, accounting records we are legally required to keep stay until that period ends.

Players under 18

Most players are under 18. A platform account is opened by Paul only after a parent or guardian has signed the contract, and both the questionnaires and the contract involve the parents. Parents sign in with their own account and can see their child's tasks, submissions and progress, and can also submit on their child's behalf.

Changes to this page

When we change it, we update the date above. For changes that matter to you, we will notify you on the platform or by email.
